After 13 consecutive summers, 2003-2015, AJP went into hibernation following our 2015 camp.

In 2003, I co-founded the Austin Jazz Project, a week-long jazz improvisation camp for middle and high school aged students. Original faculty members were myself, Rick Glascock, Shane Pitsch, Michael Elam, and Matt Bowers. When Matt, Mike, and Rick moved on, we added Chris Bell, Glenn Rexach, and Aaron Lack. We have worked with over to 200 students in the Austin and central Texas area!
