thinking of auditioning for the TMEA All-State/All-Region jazz bands? learn from professional artist-educators! hear the etudes played by a pro. etude classes will be in masterclass format. attend a faculty recital! then, work on your improvisation with the pros.
this masterclass is for all levels of students, from the first time, never-done-it-before student, to the multi-year audition-er, regular region-jazz band member. this is a great way to get some help preparing the etudes and improv, as well as meet other students in the region who are interested in jazz like you. you’re invited!

cost:
- $10 per student – pay at the door
- cash or checks made out to “TMEA Region 18 Band Division”
- band directors can pay a lump sum check for all attending students if they prefer
equipment: bring your instrument and a pencil. make sure to get your copies of the audition music now from your director.
